I have a REXGEN logger.

Use REXDESK. Every REXGEN variant is supported. Import DBC files, view the live CAN trace and export to MDF4, CSV, MAT, ASC and BLF. Free.

Use K-CAL. Configure up to five modules at once, check readings on the oscilloscope, export a DBC and, when you need it, run a traceable calibration. Free.

Use DIALOG. Configurator, free, covers configuration and export. The licensed versions add live data, graphical analysis, the GPS map and ECU measurement. Plus adds batch processing and file merging.

K-Series modules put sensor data on the CAN bus. Export a DBC from K-CAL and import it into REXDESK or DIALOG so the logger decodes the channels alongside the vehicle's own CAN data. Any third-party CAN logger that reads a standard DBC works too.

Which software do I need for my Influx Technology device?

Is the software free?

REXDESK and K-CAL are free, with no licence fee, subscription or trial period. DIALOG Remote and DIALOG Configurator are free with no time limit. DIALOG Standard and DIALOG Plus need a licence, which covers the live data viewer, graphical analysis, the GPS map and ECU measurement, and in Plus adds batch processing and data file merging. What operating systems are supported?

Windows 10 and Windows 11 for REXDESK, K-CAL and DIALOG. REXDESK needs the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and the .NET Runtime, both included in its installer, so there is nothing else to fetch first. K-CAL connects to the modules over USB. What file formats can I export?

REXDESK exports ASAM MDF4, CSV with DBC decoding applied, MATLAB .MAT, ASC and BLF, with PGN-based export for J1939 DBC files. DIALOG Configurator exports CSV, MDF, BLF, ASC, ASAM MDF4 and Excel. Standard and Plus add MATLAB MAT and NCode S3, and the licensed versions add KML for GPS data. K-CAL exports oscilloscope data to CSV, MAT and DAT, and generates DBC files. Parquet is available on REXGEN Air and REXGEN Pro, and PEAK TRC on the REXGEN loggers.

Do I need a DBC file?

A DBC file gives your recordings signal names, scaling and units. REXDESK imports multiple DBC files into one project, DIALOG imports CAN DBC, LIN LDF and ODX diagnostic files, and K-CAL generates a DBC for any K-Series module, including a combined file for several modules on one bus. Can I use K-Series modules with a REXGEN or REBEL logger?

Yes. K-Series modules output over CAN bus and stack on a shared bus with galvanic isolation between modules, so several modules can share one network. Export the DBC from K-CAL and import it into REXDESK or DIALOG, and the logger records the module channels on the same timebase as the vehicle's CAN traffic. Any third-party CAN logger that reads a standard DBC can record them too.

Which DIALOG version do I need?

Remote is a maintenance utility: format SD cards, set the time and reflash firmware. Configurator adds full logger configuration and export to CSV and MDF. The licensed versions, Standard and Plus, add the live data viewer, graphical analysis, the synchronised GPS map and ECU measurement. Plus adds ASAM A2L import, batch processing and data file merging. Remote and Configurator are free with no time limit. Ask us for a quote on Standard or Plus.
